Aldar Waqf Housing is a cornerstone of Aldar Waqf City, designed to support 150 widowed mothers and their orphaned children. This initiative is part of the broader Orphan Care Waqf, which is dedicated to supporting their daily needs, providing access to education, healthcare, and ensuring their overall wellbeing.

Syria’s ongoing crisis has left a staggering number of children orphaned—estimated at over 1.2 million—many of whom are living in dire conditions. There are countless widowed mothers struggling to provide for their families. Additionally, a significant number of these children, approximately 2.8 million across the country, are not attending school, further diminishing their chances of a brighter future.

During the establishment and building of Aldar Waqf City, funds from the Orphan Care Waqf will be allocated to constructing and equipping Aldar Waqf Housing. This includes:

• Family Apartments: Safe and secure homes where widowed mothers and their children can live with dignity. Each apartment is equipped with 1-2 bedrooms, bathrooms, a living room and kitchen.
• Communal Spaces: Areas designed for socializing, learning, and community support, fostering a sense of belonging and unity among residents.

The Aldar Waqf Housing project is not just about providing shelter—it’s about giving widowed mothers and their children a chance to rebuild their lives.
